Yes.. it's raining again! Only this time it is falling from the skies above the Vancouver International Airport. I'm not surprised really. Actually, I think I would be more surprised if it wasn't raining!
I do wish it was warmer though.. and that mom and dad had a tub.
And on that note.. I will tell you the rest of my woes.. small in comparison to almost anyone else's but my woes.. non the less.
After I wrote the blog about struggling to get the money to come home I remembered my Australian account! No problem. Well actually it was. The card has expired.
Yet another problem with travel is the time spent on 'documents'.. bank cards, driving licences, credit cards, teaching licences.. it never ends when you 'live' in three different countries.
So.. I was still broke when I hit Korea, so no point in seeing a money changer, as I had no money to change. I figured they would have an ATM.. nope. No ATM's on the traveller's side of immigration, and who wants to go through all of that?!
No one 'took' debit cards.. however, I finally figured out (sheer desperation) that they didn't need a pin number for the credit card! So.. Charge It! sandwiches, bottles of water.. who does that? Me! In Seoul!
So it was all good.. another adventure. Another lesson learned.. to be remembered.. for at least a year or two. I am sure to make new and/or much older mistakes when I go back to Oz in January. Otherwise, the trip was good. The distance was broken into a 7 hr and a 9 hour trip.. doable. The people were nice, the landings were good and, they didn't lose my luggage.
I am just waiting for the bus now, to travel up the coast to mom and dads.. in the rain. The cold, cold rain.
Ahhh Canada.
I better find out that pin number: I need a new coat.
