Yippee!!

Yippee!!  I finally found a place to live.

And just in time.. I think I am becoming allergic to my hotel room.  No really.. I am not just complaining.  It is that itchy eye and heavy chest feeling.. I think it’s the aircon.

But that’s Ok… I will be in my own place by the weekend.. maybe sooner!

I decided to look north a little and Allen helped to figure out what to look for… Taman must mean subdivision: row housing.  That is where I will live.. what the heck.  Came all this way to live in the ‘burbs’.  But that is ok.. it is close to ‘town’ .. of course I forget the name right now.. one of those Malaysian towns along the coast.  I still haven’t created a place in my head for this language.  It will happen.

I started the morning with a band playing out the window.  Someone was getting married and had hired a marching band.. followed by about a million motor bikes.

As I headed north I drove by a number of little Sunday Markets.. will have to try them out, but that will be another day.  I was looking for a house.

So I headed for the sea.

Mangroves, orchards, rubbish.. no Tamans.. and no houses that are really habitable.  Of course I got totally lost.. it was lovely actually.  It felt like a Sunday drive.. which it was.  And then suddenly I was back on the main highway and there was a ‘Snow’ car wash.

As I had parked my car under a tree a few nights earlier and there are about a bazillion birds around here.. I needed a wash. I found out what the ‘snow’ was: lovely suds sprayed on the vehicle.. like a blizzard.  And I found the Taman behind it - perfect...  There was an empty unit, so I spoke to a neighbor and they pointed to another unit.. I rang that bell and… well… I have found a home!

There is nothing in it.. just a bit of rubbish and the master bedroom actually has a sit down toilet!  You can sit there.. no crouching.. and shower: bonus.  Why is it so hard to find a tub these days?

Today I hit two schools and still had time to buy a fridge, a hot plate and a kettle. Tomorrow I will look for a bed… and maybe visit the Carrefour in Klang.  Klang... there is a real place called .. Klang.

It was a good day.. which I ended with a reflexology session: it hurt, but.. it's my new chocolate.

This is the spot!
I am so happy!  A few more days and it is home sweet home!!!!!
